Artist Charles White standing beside a painting he is working on of an archway covered in greenery.

Charles White

Born in Quebec, Canada in 1942, Charles displayed a very early interest in art by drawing wildlife in pencil and ink at age six. By age twelve, he was painting landscapes in oil and sold many throughout his teenage year.

Deciding to further his artistic talents and business skills at Bringham Young University, he graduated with a B.A. in 1967. His over 50 years of painting experience are evident in his gardens and landscapes, which capture nature's essence by mastering the radiant interplay of light and shadow and infusing nature's beauty with a sense of tranquility and serenity. Charles's time-consuming technique creates a luminous, multi-layered work that invites the viewer into a world of tranquil beauty and timeless elegance. That he connects with the viewer on an emotional level is evident from the sale of well over 8000 originals and prints in the last 15 years alone.

Charles is featured as one of America's favorite artists and has been the subject of many newspaper and national art magazine articles. His images have been licensed by dozens of national companies. Participating in many one-man shows around the country, Charles has demonstrated at the Art Expo in New York, an ABC Show in Atlanta, and the Art Line 2000 in Orlando. He also conducts lectures and workshops, has produced an instructional video and teaches classes in oil and acrylics to share his experience and techniques with other artists. In between, he manages to create between 30 and 40 paintings each year for his expanding number of collectors. In 2011, he published a book about his life and work called "The Path Worth Taking".

A headshot of artist Jeff Boutin. He stands in front of one of his abstract paintings.

Jeff Boutin

Jeff Boutin began making art as a personal hobby, hiding his work in his garage, before eventually selling a piece to a friend for only the price of the supplies needed to create it. In 2003, he sold his carpet and rug making business and became a painter full-time.

"I came to realize I wasted over 30 years thinking I was not good enough to be an artist, when really I was just doing what made sense to me and not what everyone else was doing. Truth is, I didn’t know how to do what everyone was doing. I learned that being unique and recognizable is the 'real' path to success," Jeff said.

Since then, Jeff has worked with as many as 15 galleries at one time, and displayed his work at shows all across the United States, especially throughout the Great Lakes region. His good nature, unique and identifiable style, and drive have earned him a great reputation among his peers. He also began teaching art courses, with several students who have gone on to become full-time artists themselves.
