Robert Blehert's "Everyday People and Other Celebrities"

At The Finishing Touch Publishing, we’re proud to collaborate with artists whose work bridges technique and emotion—and Robert Blehert embodies that balance beautifully.

Currently, Robert is completing the third painting in a commissioned four-piece series celebrating great musicians, following his vibrant portraits of contemporary pop artists Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. The next two subjects, soul music legends Ray Charles and Otis Redding, promise to bring even more history and storytelling to the collection. The impressionistic style choices made in the creation of these portraits embodies the energy and artistic exploration within both the artist himself and the musician subjects of this series.

In his upcoming show, “Everyday People and Other Celebrities,” Robert explores his belief that there’s no such thing as an ordinary person. Throughout his career, Robert Blehert's original work has been acquired by several celebrity collectors, but his work in celebrity portraiture hopes to bridge a perceived gap and remind viewers that, as he states, "we are all celebrities." His artistic mastery of impressionist and arbitrary colors as well as light—paired with his thematic focus on communication and human connection—results in portraits that are both technically strong and deeply expressive.

We’re honored to feature his "Taylor Swift" and "Katy Perry" prints, available now through The Finishing Touch Publishing, for collectors who value artistry with heart. "Taylor Swift" is now, in addition to our other print mediums, available as a coral fleece throw blanket, a jacquard woven throw blanket, and throw pillow options.
